Search for study artifacts across your entire clinical organization, grouping them by participant, specimen type, or other properties. Per each result grouping, specify a number of artifacts for retrieval (export), monitoring (custody or results status), or site-to-site transfer by creating a Materials Transfer Request.

Materials Transfer Requests can be created with sampleminded® to coordinate the transfer of custody of large sets of items that meet common search criteria. Each desired item transfer can be managed alongside the overall set or on its own. Additional Shipping and Receiving functionality is built upon this backbone to automate the fulfillment of each request, adding further detail to the custody records.

sampleminded® makes it possible to query samples and organize shipping for secondary analysis. Investigators can find the artifacts relevant to their inquiry using the Artifact Finder, and request that they be shipped from the bio-repository or clinical sites to labs for analysis. Investigators can monitor the progress of the shipping and immediately know when results are available. (Result Capture Module coming in 2012.)
